Work with us
We are recruiting for an Advisor/Project Manager based in our Singapore office. If you have the necessary experience, along with a passion for building stronger communities worldwide, we encourage you to apply.
Meet our people
Our new Sydney-based director, Vanessa Rose, is passionate about using her expertise to help governments and organisations make real, widespread, positive change for children, families and communities facing adversity. She comes to the CEI after leading research at the NSW Department of Family and Community Service’s analysis and research arm.
Intermediaries - helpers in the uptake of evidence in practice and policy
We recently led the development of a special issue of the journal developing practice. It focuses on intermediary organisations that work to enable the uptake of evidence in practice and policy. The articles provide insights into a number of Australian and international intermediaries.
Circling children with care
We’re working with preschools in Singapore to help ensure the revolutionary Circle of Care program, which builds multi-disciplinary support systems around children from disadvantaged backgrounds, is fully implemented.
Making the most of every day
We’re helping parents get their kids school ready through a fun, easy-to-use app based on quality evidence, called Day by Day.
Gaps mapped
We’ve completed an evidence and gap map of existing and missing evidence for out-of-home care services. The findings will spark future research and strengthen foster care, residential care, and family support services in NSW.
A national first
We’re excited to be working with the Government of Singapore to develop a comprehensive evaluation of the outcomes of the KidSTART program, which aims to help disadvantaged families prepare their young children for school. The outcome evaluation follows an initial formative evaluation and will be the first of its kind in Singapore.
