Jean brings a blend of academic and practical expertise to CEI. This includes eight years as Assistant Professor of Psychology at Yale-NUS College in Singapore, and consultant to the World Health Organization and the Central Provident Fund Board. She also set up visitor research services at National Gallery Singapore, and founded Insights Bridge consultancy. Additionally, Jean is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and sits on both not-for-profit and government boards.

Jean is an interdisciplinary thinker passionate about solving complex business and policy challenges. Her research focus is the health and social implications of technological innovation, and her background in health, tech, education, and the arts enables her to tackle issues at the intersection of these fields.

Specialising in data-driven insights, Jean is a prolific writer and commentator. She has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, as well as poetry and children’s books. She has been a featured expert across media outlets, and has penned numerous opinion editorials and commentaries. Her insights have been discussed in parliament, and she has presented widely across academic and public forums worldwide.
