Anna is a senior leader with extensive experience in global research and consultancy, focused on social development, education and poverty alleviation. Over the past five years, Anna has led more than 300 projects in 80 countries, working with governments, research institutions and foundations and trusts in the UK and globally. 

She has an exceptional record in research, evaluation, evidence synthesis and implementation science. She has led test and learn trials, capacity development initiatives, and improvement and implementation projects at national scale.

For more than a decade prior to joining CEI, Anna headed up the research division of Education Development Trust, a not-for-profit organisation working to improve education outcomes and transitions into work for people across the world. Her experience also includes roles with the National Foundation of Education Research, in academia and as a teacher.

Anna brings a unique blend of high-level technical research and implementation expertise to her work, as well as the ability to build lasting partnerships. She is passionate about creating, translating, applying and implementing good evidence in decision-making to improve people’s lives, bringing what she describes as “a knack for championing people”. 

Anna holds a PhD in Education and a Master of Arts in International Development.
